Resin ImpResin90 25kg
Description
ImpResin90 is a professional, heat cured, deep penetrating resin for wood stabilization and impregnation of other porous materials. Its low viscosity and density let it well penetrate the material structure especially while used with a vacuum chamber. After cure, it becomes completely transparent and increases the durability of the material and can give it a gloss effect.
Perfect for carpenters, knife makers, turners and decorative items manufacturers. Perfect when the efficient liquid degassing and deep impregnation of porous materials in vacuum processes is required.
Key Advantages:
- Low viscosity and density guarantee deep wood penetration which means efficient stabilisation even of difficult wood species;
- Perfect for vacuum systems where fast air elimination from material pores increases the impregnation efficiency;
- Thermally cured formula guarantees a durable hardening and a improved mechanical properties of wood;
- Almost odorless resin improves the work comfort during long stabilizations;
- Transparency after curing allows to keep a natural wood appearance of wood and highlights its grains;
- Possibility to achieve a high-gloss finish makes it perfect for decorative and utility items;
- Similar parameters make it a perfect substitute to Cactus Juice resin for professionals;
- Perfect for liquid degassing and wood stabilization under vacuum;

Applications and limitations:
The wood-stabilizing resin is suitable for knife handles manufacturing, jewellery pieces, decorative joinery details, turning blanks and components susceptible to moisture exposure. Perfect to strengthen the soft or brittle wood.
The best results can be achieved with porous and absorbent materials and when they are dried thoroughly before stabilization. The product is not suitable for gluing structural elements and filling large cavities.
FAQ
Can you stabilize wood without a vacuum chamber?
Yes, the resin can be used without vacuum but a vacuum chamber significantly increases the impregnation effectiveness. When the air from wood grains is eliminate, the resin can penetrate deeper into material structure resulting in better stabilization and higher durability of final product.
Does the resin change the wood appearance after curing?
No. After a correct curing the resin becomes completely transparent. That is why the wood keeps its natural appearance. Moreover, its grains and color can be highlighted after final grinding or polishing.
How to cure the resin?
The ImpResin90 should be cured in 90°C for 1-1,5 hours. The exact time depends of the size and the thickness of stabilized semi-finished products. It is crucial to heat the semi-products evenly to fully cure the resin and obtain the optimal mechanical properties of the material.
