      As they claim, the stabilization process is not complicated and gives a lot of satisfaction from creating your own designs (in this case, wooden knife handles).

      The stabilization process begins with selecting a well-dried wooden element. The wood must be completely immersed in the resin. Most of the process is carried out in a vacuum, so wood stabilization must take place in a closed vacuum chamber. We connect a pump to the chamber to vent the material. After removing the air from the wood, the vacuum is converted to atmospheric pressure and left in this state for the same amount of time that the wood was left in the vacuum. The appropriate structure of a wooden element is achieved by filling the pores in the wood with polymer. The correctness of the stabilization process is proven by the fact that the wood sinks to the bottom of the resin container. The culmination of the entire process is the hardening of the resin-impregnated wood in an oven or a water bath at 90°C.
